Privacy Policy

Komunik ("we", "us") is operated by Zakaria Kadaali (trading as Mirisim), a sole proprietor (autoentrepreneur) based in Oran, Algeria. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Komunik, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

By using Komunik you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please stop using the service.

1. Who is the data controller?

Zakaria Kadaali (Mirisim) is the data controller for the personal data processed through Komunik. You can reach us at mirisim.agency@gmail.com for any privacy question.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

Account data

  • Your name, email address and password (hashed).
  • Your business name, plan, and billing status.

Knowledge base content

  • Documents you upload (menus, FAQs, product lists), the text we extract from them, and the embeddings we compute to power retrieval.
  • The system prompt and lead-capture rules you configure for your AI agent.

Conversation data

  • Messages your customers send to you on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger via Komunik, including text, voice notes, and images.
  • The replies generated by the AI or sent by your team, plus metadata (timestamps, channel, contact identifier).
  • Voice notes are transcribed automatically; transcripts are stored alongside the original audio file URL.

Usage data

  • Counters such as conversations per month, tokens used, and voice notes processed — used to enforce plan limits and produce billing.
  • Standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) kept for security and abuse prevention.

3. Why we collect it

  • Provide the service — answering customer messages, storing conversation history, retrieving relevant knowledge.
  • Account & billing — authenticating you, enforcing plan limits, processing subscription payments through our payment processor.
  • Improve the product — aggregated, anonymised metrics only. We do not use your data to train public AI models.
  • Security & legal — detecting abuse, complying with applicable Algerian and international laws.

4. Sharing with third parties

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Komunik. Each is bound by their own privacy and security commitments:

  • AI processing partners for generating replies, embeddings, and voice transcripts. Conversation context is sent over an encrypted connection and is not used to train public AI models.
  • Messaging platform integrations for the channels you actively connect (such as WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram). Messages flow through these platforms by design.
  • Payment processor for handling subscription billing securely.
  • Cloud hosting infrastructure for running our servers and storing your data.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. We only disclose data to authorities when legally required.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Account & billing data — for the lifetime of your account, plus up to 5 years afterwards for legal/tax obligations.
  • Conversation history — until you delete it manually, or until your account is deleted.
  • Server logs — up to 90 days.

6. Your rights

You can at any time:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data via your dashboard.
  • Export your data — conversations, leads, and knowledge base — by request.
  • Delete your account and associated data (see below).
  • Withdraw consent and stop using the service.

8. Security

We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, and JWT-based authentication. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access to production systems is limited to the operator (Zakaria Kadaali).

9. Children

Komunik is a B2B service and is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Some of our service providers may process your data outside Algeria, including in the European Union and the United States. We rely on the standard contractual safeguards offered by those providers and on encryption in transit and at rest.

11. Changes to this policy

We'll post any material changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Komunik after a change means you accept the updated policy.
