Data Deletion Instructions

We respect your right to be forgotten. This page explains how to permanently delete your Komunik account and all associated data, including data we received via Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp.

Option 1 — Delete from your dashboard

1. Sign in to app.komunik.io.
2. Go to Settings → Account.
3. Click Delete account and confirm.
4. Your account is queued for deletion. All data is removed within 30 days.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can't access your dashboard, send an email to mirisim.agency@gmail.com from the email address on the account, with the subject line:

Delete my Komunik account

Include your account email and any business names linked to the account. We confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your user profile (name, email, hashed password).
• All conversation history (messages, voice notes, transcripts, images sent through Komunik).
• All captured leads and their contact details.
• Your knowledge base — uploaded documents, extracted text, and embeddings.
• Channel connections — WhatsApp sessions, Meta page tokens, Instagram tokens.
• Your agent configuration — system prompt, lead fields, language settings.
• Usage counters and webhook configurations.

What is retained (and why)

Some data is kept after account deletion to comply with legal obligations or legitimate business interests. Specifically:

• Billing records — invoices and payment receipts are retained for up to 5 years to comply with Algerian tax law.
• Anonymised aggregate metrics — counts that no longer identify you (e.g. total conversations processed in a month).
• Server access logs — kept up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention.

Data shared with Meta / Facebook

Komunik integrates with Meta Platforms (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram) under your authorisation. When you delete your Komunik account, we also revoke our access tokens to your Pages and Instagram accounts. This stops Komunik from receiving further data from Meta. You can also revoke our access manually at any time from your Facebook Business Integrations page.

Timeline

• Within 3 business days — we confirm we received your request.
• Within 30 days — your data is permanently deleted from primary systems.
• Within 90 days — your data is removed from encrypted backups (which rotate on that cycle).
